About Fort Knox Self Storage WA
Fort Knox Self Storage was established in 1987 and was one of the first in Australia to develop the concept of Self Storage.
Originally located in the Old Wool Store building in Fremantle, Fort Knox WA became an icon in the community and rapidly grew to become one of the largest storage facilities in Western Australia.
As the need for residential apartments grew in Fremantle, the Fort Knox business was acquired in 2014 by The Bailey Family, and the old Woolstores site converted to apartments.
In 2015, Fort Knox WA acquired another storage icon in AAA Bargain Removals and Storage. And the business was moved to a 5000sqm facility in Stockdale Rd O’Connor. It is the former site of another Fremantle institution, the Mills and Ware’s bakery (also owned by the Bailey Family from 1992 to 2004).
The site is open 7 days per week, with video monitored security throughout the complex, as well as state of the art fire and sprinkler systems and a clean, dry and pest controlled environment.
Fort Knox WA has a dedicated area on site for boat storage and caravan storage with ample room to manoeuvre in and out as required.
Boxes and packing materials are available to purchase and staff are on-site every day of the week to offer useful tips and to make Self Storage safe, pleasant and stress free.
Today, Fort Knox WA remains a family owned storage and removal business, offering a range of safe and secure self storage units, and a modern removal fleet to suit both personal and business requirements. Fort Knox WA is the SAFE, SECURE and Reliable option!
